One of the major improvements of Internet Explorer 6 is in its privacy. The privacy enhancements are derived from the work developed at the W3C by the Platform for Privacy Preferences Project (P3P) Working Group. Internet Explorer 6 enables end users to control whether cookies are accepted, based on the user's privacy preferences and the Web server's privacy policy. Cookies may be rejected, if they are sent by a Web server without a privacy policy, or by a server with a policy that does not match the end user's preferences. You can control the privacy policy for cookies on your computer by changing the settings in the Privacy tab of the Internet Options dialog box.
